More About Me

About Me

The Early Years

A working class kid from Manchester came to London to train in textile design at Chelsea School Of Art, going on to develop a successful children's knitwear brand, selling across Europe and beyond to small independent retailers through to large multiple chain stores.

My knitwear was featured in several publications, photographed on the children of high profile celebrities and won 2 nationally recognised industry awards in the late 1990's.

By the early 2000's, having overcome the challenges of infertility and 2 difficult pregnancies, I decided to down tools on my knitwear business and focus on my family.

With a growing curiosity in natural health and my children settled in primary school, I decided to retrain in complementary therapy and studied Bio-Energy Healing with the Bi-Aura Foundation at Regent's College London, qualifying in 2009. I began giving treatments from the Greenwich Natural Health Centre in SE London and was occasionally asked by the Bi-Aura Foundation to help assist their Chief Instructor, the CMA's Energy Medicine Expert, with their new stream of students. But soon after came the life changing experience of becoming a single parent. I abandoned building my healing practice feeling unable to help others when I needed to focus my energy into my own personal healing and raising my two young children.

Unable to secure a steady income I found myself on benefits. It was during this time of instability that I was guided by a path of synchronicities and became a volunteer artist at Kagyu Samye Dzong working under the direct guidance of Lama Rigzin, a Master Thangka Painter commissioned to travel from Nepal to the UK to decorate the Shrine Room at the Buddhist Centre For World Peace And Health in Bermondsey, SE London. Over several months I began to connect with many Buddhist traditions. I felt honoured to be a part of this community and blessed to be surrounded by spiritual teachers including Lama Zangmo and Choje Akong Tulku Rinproche, and as the beauty of the Shrine Room evolved, there was a spark within me that had been reignited.

Creatively inspired, I began from the ground up producing and selling my own unique style of resin art and jewellery at a local craft market and within 2 years had worked on several commissioned pieces for the Moroccan Royal Family. Fast forward, the world was hit by the Covid pandemic and almost everyone was in quarantine exploring arts and crafts at home, resin was continuously out of stock as the world got creative and I had to think of a new way to sell my work. From home I opened up an Etsy shop, built a website and started to sell online, I began exploring wire wrapping and eventually worked on a collection of handmade wedding crowns as the world opened up and Brides got busy reorganising their postponed weddings.

As my path continues and I weave together the creative elements of  life, art and spirituality,  I remain grounded by offering my skills and abilities without cost to a local charity WSUP, one day a week providing their service users with arts, crafts and cheerful chat as well as energy healing treatments alongside their health and wellbeing team who bring meditations, soundbath and breathwork sessions, making natural healthcare accessible to the homeless and under privileged in our local community.

In peace and in service, I anchor in light.
